Personal bio-meterics on laptop

well i just got a new laptop nothing to flash core2duo 2gig ram but i never noticed when i got that it has a finger print scanner, hey its quite the addon removes the need to remember long password etc only been playing with it for about an hour but it seems to work quite well under Vista OS haven't tried under unix yet but i cant find any drivers for it yet

Personal OS reinstall's

well i have done a few OS re-installs namely
XP home and ubuntu 7.10 on the toshiba A120 laptop
XP64bit and vista ultimate 64bit on the main sytem (will be putting FC9 on here as well)

lap top all fine

main system xp fine vista some drive issue's (nothing new there then lol) the x-fi elite pro brake out box not working fully sound but no control, also the catalyst 8.3 driver still isn't working correctly

just two box to sort before i go back work next Tuesday but they aren't to be bad at the moment

Persona Driver problems

well today i thought i'd update my main system

• CPU qx6800, GPU 2 X hd2900 1GB, sound x-fi elite pro, 4GB ocz reaper 1066

well i decided to update the ATI drivers to catalyst 8.3 all looked well at desktop and benchmarking. but it has had some negative effects on my games
WOW 2.4 giltching FX stuttering bar about 1" tall right across the screen
Half life portals loading all the way to world screen then just a black screen can hear sound but nothing else

rolling back to 7.1 has fixed WOW but all the half life 2 addons are still bugged

Persona last day of spring term

well its the last day of the spring term so lecturing work load is light now so ill be working on some of the projects.
Internet ready (is there such a thing) and some other papers
